The best way to fix bad sectors

HDD Regenerator is a hard drive utility that will save you time, money and a lot of heartache. When your hard drive is written and overwritten constantly over time, the areas where data is stored, called “sectors,” can become corrupted and unusable. When hard drive sectors go bad, some or all of these things will happen:

* Your files won’t open
* Your programs will fail to run
* Your computer will crash
* Your computer will fail to boot at all

In all these cases, it is vital to repair the hard drive right away quickly and recover lost data. In the past, the best solutions were taking the hard drive to a repair specialist or using drive repair and data recovery software. Here’s a look at why these aren’t the best solutions, and why HDD Regenerator is.

The High Cost of “Recovery Specialists”

Before the advent of high quality hard drive recovery software like HDD Regenerator, the only option was to take a failed hard drive to a facility that specialized in hard drive repair. These companies offer specialized services and the high prices that go with them. Hard drive repair used to be a very complex, hard process and repair facilities were the only game in town. Now that recovery software is available, this kind of service isn’t really necessary.

The Drawbacks of Other Recovery Software

There is a lot of software on the market that claims to repair bad sectors and recover data from crashed hard drives. The truth is, unless you’re using HDD Regenerator, you’re paying for software that over promises on features and under delivers on performance. The dirty secret of other so-called recovery software is that it doesn’t recover or repair anything. When these packages speak of “recovery,” what they’re really doing is reading whatever incomplete data they can and copying it. They’re not bringing lost data back; they’re just grabbing any semi-readable junk they can find. They don’t “repair” bad sectors, either. Instead, they simply mark bad sectors as “unwritable.” This way, your hard drive doesn’t even try to use them. What good does that do? Soon, your hard drive will fill with unusable sectors that these apps falsely claim were repaired, and then it will eventually become full and unusable.

HDD Regenerator: A Better Way

Only HDD Regenerator can truly recover all your lost data and repair bad sectors. It can repair physical or magnetic data problems and recover all missing data, bringing your hard drive back to life instead of just masking the issue. Here are just a few of HDD Regenerator’s key features:

* Scans bad sectors to give you an idea of the extent of the damage BEFORE repairs.
* Intuitive, user friendly interface. No complex settings to fool around with.
* 30-day money back guarantee.
* Can run as a process to automate scans and recovery operations.
* Bootable: you can boot from HDD Regenerator directly in order to repair hdd that won’t boot at all.
* Hardware independent: can repair any disk drive hardware.

This software is simply your best option for repairing your hard drive and recovering lost and corrupted data. It is cost efficient and it works. Still not convinced?

    I bought this programme yesterday to repair a 1tb Western Digital hard drive.
    I connected the drive to a old Pentium 4 laptop with Windows XP home through USB.

    The problem I have it is finding the bad sectors but it do not recover them. It does say it is regenerating. But repair section says 0

      Hello S.Suganthan,

      The current version of the product supports external hard drives directly under Windows. However, a better way (with a better performance) to repair an external drive is to dismount the failed drive from the external case and connect it as an internal drive, but this requires some skill in computer assembling.

    Hi all. I am using HDDR and could fix several harddisks with it. I know that this program is still in developpemente, and in the future may be even faster to recover bad sectors.

    I would apreciate a new feature. Scan particular sectors without repairing all. This means, if I know where some files exists, I could make a prescan and after that do a scan with repair of the damaged sectors.

    As per now there where just 2 cases in which there was no solution (every record recognized as bad), and I had to do a low-level format with the manufacturers tool. And there are a lot of HD’s which are passing my hands.

    Overall, HDDR is great !

      Hi Patrick,

      Thanks for your feedback. About to scan particular sectors without repairing all. You can select the “Scan and Repair” or “Scan Only”, then choose the starting sector parameter. Enter the sector value if you wish to check the hard drive not from the first sector. If you don’t wish to check the 1st 3 GB of the hdd just to save time, because you are sure, this area of the surface doesn’t have bad sectors. In such cases enter the offset equal to 3000 with ‘m’ following or 6144000 without ‘m’ following (number of sectors 3000x1024x1024/512=6144000).

    Hello ; i have a IDE hard drive and my computer does not see it when i try to run it as an external HD in a new Enclosure .

    I have one pc with Win 7 Pro OS and another with XP PRO .

    I think my Crashed HD has Win XP PRO OS .

    Will your software be able to SEE my Crashed HD ??

    Also do you guarantee your software can repaird my Crashed IDE HD ?

    If i can get my crashed HD to run for at least a few hours

    then i will be able to copy all my files

    and then transfer those files to a New hard drive . ?

      Hello Bill,

      HDD Regenerator is intended for recovery of bad sectors caused by magnetic errors on a hard drive surface. It can recover unreadable data, but only as a result of repairing of bad sectors in the data area. The product works with detected by BIOS hard drives only. If the drive is not detected by the BIOS or has a physical breakage (damaged heads, logical card, etc.), it will not be repaired by the product.
